What Is ACLS Certification and Who Needs It?
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an American Heart Association–certified program for healthcare professionals who manage cardiopulmonary arrest and cardiovascular emergencies. It is required for nurses, physicians, paramedics, and emergency responders working in ICUs, critical care units, and emergency departments.
- Covers adult cardiac arrest algorithms, megacode scenarios, and pharmacology
- Prerequisite: current AHA BLS Provider certification
- Certification valid for 2 years per 2020–2025 AHA Guidelines
- Available as Initial or Renewal course at Code 3 Life in Sierra Madre, CA
- AHA-accredited Training Center — cards issued same day upon passing

In order to register for your ACLS renewal course, your AHA ACLS Provider certification must be current. You must already hold a current and non expired AHA BLS provider certification in order to register for any BLS combo course.
